What are Super Foods anyway?

The top superfoods have certain characteristics. They are usually highly alkalizing and rich in antioxidants.

Some examples would be chlorophyll-rich foods such as

A majority of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and edible herbs could be considered superfoods because they are nutrient dense.

But Andy, I take a multivitamin and a bunch of other supplements. Is that not good enough?

That's great that you are using supplements!
Cathy and I use supplements all the time.
As a Nutritional Consultant I recommend supplements, however, with clients and customers I'll ask the following questions:
What is your diet like?
What kind of food are you eating on a regular basis?

So many of us are using vitamins, minerals and other health products to support a bad diet.
We have to get back to the basics.
Eating 5-9 servings of organic fruits and vegetables per day.
Using high quality healthy fats.
Avoiding processed food/junk food as much as possible.
Eating meat that is free from antibiotics and growth hormones.

I've been eating this way for 20-30 years, won't it be too hard for me to change?

Andy, this healthy eating stuff sounds good but I just don't have the time!

It does'nt take long to whip up healthy smoothies for the whole family. You can do some prep work the night before. Just blend some bananas, berries and kale with water.

In the morning, add a good quality protein and 1-2tbsp of some healthy oils.
